As the home of the Waste Recycling Action Programme (WRAP) – a government sponsored body aimed at improving recycling rates and developing markets for recyclates, we are a location of growing importance for green technology.
Local firms are heavily involved in new composting techniques, bio-fuel development, emissions reduction technology and renewable energy. Inspired by our natural heritage, these firms are working at the cutting edge of improving the balance between economic prosperity, technological progress and environmental impact.
